Hot Foil Stamping

Hot Foil Stamping is a graphic process which uses pressure and controlled heat to bond foil to the material. The foil stamping process has the ability to create a
wide range of contrasting effects with paper through color and surface changes. Practically any foil color is available, from vivid bright hues to subtle tints and pastels, plus black and white.

The choice of surface qualities include glassy, metallic, clear, glazed, dull and textured. Specific parts of a design can be selectively highlighted to create an interesting effect. A clear foil stamping is a relatively simple but effective way to enhance a printed page. For example, overstamping an entire printed image or a selected portion of an image, changes the paper surface to create a pleasing contrast. Clear foils are available in glossy, satin and full finishes for a variety of effects. For added interest, typography (or other elements) can also be stamped in contrasting foil.
